Tax Codes

The Tax Code Screen displays the data contained in the Client Master File. Upon entering this section, the following screen will be displayed: 

This screen allows you to enter a specific tax code range, with the default reading 0001 to 9999 to capture all tax codes set up on the Client Master File. Click on find to bring down all of the tax codes. 

Only 20 lines of data will display at any one time. If there are more than 20 tax code entries, they will be listed on another "page" of data. After the "Tax Code Detail Information" heading, a notation will indicate how many pages of information are in the list and identifies which page you are currently viewing (example 1 of 2 Pages found). Use the First Page, Next Page, Previous Page and Last Page links at the bottom of the data display to move between pages. When you are viewing Page 2, the notation at the top will change to (2 of 2 Pages found). If you want to conduct a new search, clicking on Clear will delete all data in the fields to allow you to re-enter tax code ranges (for example: 0501 through 0506).

The Tax Code Information includes:

• Tax code

• Full Description of the tax code (counties for local taxes are indicated by parenthesis)

• EIN number (specifies the appropriate format)

• Reporting division

• Deposit frequency

• POA requirements

• Tax rates (these are displayed in the percentage format)

• Status (tax code is either active or inactive)
